What is Palisade Security Fencing?

Palisade fences appear as a series of sharp-topped stakes (pales) that give both the impression and assurance of security and durability. They are the perfect solution for protecting high-value assets and preventing breaches to secure sites.

There are three key components to this kind of fencing system:

  1. Steel RSJ upright support posts
  2. Horizontal rails mounted on the support posts
  3. Strong upright steel pales mounted on the horizontal rails

This robust system uses strong materials that are difficult to cut, bend out of shape or vandalise. The upright pales are also difficult to climb as they are relatively tightly spaced, present no toe holds, and often feature barbed elements at the top. Anti-tamper fittings are included as standard, so you can be sure that any extra features do not compromise the security of your palisade fencing.

Our palisade fencing solutions are fully bespoke for every customer, so you can be confident you’re getting the solution that’s ideal for your use case.

Corrosion-resistant galvanised coating guarantees long life and minimal maintenance. We can also customise the look by using any colour on the RAL colour scale to match company branding colours or blend with existing installations. Height ranges between one and four metres are available depending on your needs.

Applications of palisade fencing

Since galvanised palisade fencing is so versatile, reliable, and easy to install, it is a popular security choice for a range of sites. You will often see palisade security fencing used at the side of roads and railways, in docks and in airports. Whether the goal is to keep intruders out or keep occupants secure, we adapt our palisade fencing products to your needs.

Palisade security fence installation

Claim your free consultation and site survey, and design a project that suits your application, visual preferences, and the physical challenges of your proposed site.

Under normal circumstances, we would set the upright RSJ posts in a strong concrete foundation. Where this is not possible, we use a bolt and baseplate system. The rest of the system comes in pre-manufactured kit form which is assembled and installed on-site.

The nature of this type of system means that adjusting the installation to take into account sloping or undulating ground is not a problem. Matching palisade gates and barriers up to 4m wide can also be inserted.

Morgan Sindall have undertaken a number of contracts where Integrated Fencing, have been appointed to deliver security fencing, gates and hoarding works to our sites. We have always found them to be helpful throughout the project phases, whether this be the early stages tenders, through on-going design development and right up to completion and handover. The whole ethos of all Integrated Fencing staff aligns closely with our values as a business and as such, Integrated Fencing have recently been awarded our Sub-Contractor of the Year Award for 2020 for their consistent high performance. Integrated Fencing the successful contractor, their tender was within budget and we were fully aware of their experience in the fencing industry and their pro-active approach.

Their directors visited the site to attend meetings to help us with the design of the system which was first class.
We would highly recommend We look forward to working with them on future projects
.

It did not go unnoticed that you were put in a very difficult predicament by the failings of our ground works contractor but despite this, you and your team stuck at it working late nights and weekends to help us achieve the completion date. It’s very rare to see a Managing Director rolling his sleeves up to help his team out but you did this on numerous occasions in atrocious weather conditions and on weekends and for this we cannot thank you enough.

This leads me on to your site team who worked extremely close with our site team for the duration of the project and despite the extreme weather and ground conditions they simply got on with it. They’re attitude and willingness to complete the job in hand is fantastic, this together with the standard of work produced all makes for a winning team.

I have worked with numerous quality men over the last 30 years, and this has to be up there as one of the best. Please pass on our thanks to your team. Thanks again for your efforts on the project and we wish you every success in the future and hope your business grows. It has been a pleasure working with you on YGGT and we look forward to the prospect of working with you in the near future.
