BIFOLD GATES FROM INTEGRATED FENCING
Bifold gates are essentially swing gates that concertina. Each leaf utilises special folding hinges to effectively divide itself in two so that one section can fold across another in a concertina fashion. As well as being an aesthetically pleasing look, there are several advantages to using this type of security barrier to solve particular site issues.
Here at Integrated Fencing we use Bifold Gates to overcome a number of issues that can present themselves with other types of automated or manual security gating systems. We continually invest in research to update, improve and innovate our products as well as make available the very latest in automated access control technology.
Our leadership team represents a combined period of over half a century in the industry and our design and installation teams are fully certified, accredited and represent the best in the business. We work for you by offering: Free site consultation, Site survey, Bespoke design service, Tailored Access Control Packages, Supply and installation and Maintenance and servicing.
ADVANTAGES OF BI-FOLDING GATES
- EFFICIENCY
These type of barriers are often requested for security perimeters where efficiency and speed of access are important considerations. They open and close much faster than normal swing gates and most automated systems are trackless, meaning that they do not need an overhead or a ground-based track to stabilise the opening and closing process.
- RESOLVING PHYSICAL SITE ISSUES
As an example, you need an eight metre span for your gate and your access road slopes sharply upwards 3 metres beyond that gap. 2 normal swing gates of 4 metres each would bottom out on that slope. A bifold gate would cantilever at 2 metres and as a result, the slope would not be an issue.
Single leaf bifold gates are often used to maximise available passing space when openings are of limited width. This is achieved by designing them to concertina back across adjoining walls or fencing leaving the full width of the opening available for passing through.
- FLEXIBILITY
A single leaf bi-folding gate can singularly cover a reasonably wide gap. A double leaf installation can cover an outsize gap up to a very substantial 15 metres. Heights between 1 and 4 metres are available as standard. The gates can be designed to open inward or outward and the position of the fold can be customised and does not necessarily need to be at the halfway point.
Our gates can be coloured in any colour available on the RAL colour chart. This means they can be blended with existing installations or painted to compliment your branding colours. We can also design and manufacture almost unlimited variations of infill. We can discuss all customisation options with you at an initial consultation and site survey.
- LOW MAINTENANCE
We use very robust materials in the manufacturing process. Our hinges our tamper-proof and high-quality. The hinged nature of these gates mean that a large span can be covered with very little in the way of moving parts. We offer servicing that meets mandatory DHF requirements for automated systems plus maintenance packages for all of our installations. Our nationwide service engineers are standing by to respond in the event of a breakdown.
AUTOMATION OF BIFOLD GATES
Automation has several advantages in terms of speed and efficiency as well as ongoing cost savings because these gates work without the need for constant human input. At Integrated Fencing our automated gates and barriers come with an access control package. This can be designed and programmed as a tailor-made system to suit your requirement.
This means that authorised personnel, suppliers and contractors can have problem-free access to your premises
There are a variety of methods by which access can be authorised;
• Remote control fobs
• ANPR and CCTV vehicle recognition systems
• Timers
• Proximity sensors
• Keypad entry
• Biometric Systems
• Traffic light systems
We are always happy to discuss your requirements for access control and we have yet to come across a situation that we could not design something suitable for.
