Fencing and Street Furniture
New 70,000 sq ft warehouse DP World, London Gateway Logistics Park. DP World is the UK’s most integrated logistics hub, which comprises a state-of-the-art deep-sea port and rail terminal on an expansive land bank. Integrated Fencing worked with Readie Construction Ltd to help construct this new facility, installing the security fencing & gates, street furniture and Automatic gates with access control. Working alongside SGP architects our brief was to assist with the design of a fully integrated system that would cater for the clients needs.
Our services included:
- Design
- Manufacture and installation of automatic sliding gates
- Automatic rising barriers
- Palisade security fencing
- Street furniture
There are many security systems on the market but we pride ourselves with our extensive knowledge that we can deliver a product to suit the clients budget and requirements.
We manufactured and installed a 2.4 high powder coated Vmesh security fence to the boundary of the unit, this included a push to exit fire escape single leaf gate to the boundary.
We also installed Palisade Security Fencing along the boundary where security needed to be heightened in hot spot areas of the site.
The project also required a high security sliding gate with an opening of 9 meters and a height of 2.4m
Our gate was installed within a few hours of being delivered on one of our specialist hiab lorrys. Our Gates are installed to the latest health and safety guidelines to include devices which eliminates crushing, drawing and sheer points.
In front of the gates we installed automated rising arm barriers to control the flow of vehicles during peek time, again the barriers are equipped with the latest safety devices.
The barriers and gate are controlled by a duel height access control system which caters for both cars and lorry’s entering the unit. Visitors can enter by either a key fob or specking to reception via intercom system.
The project also included a timber knee rail around a drainage swale. This is both a decorative feature that also acts as a physical barrier.
The client also looked at our vast street furniture range but wanted something slightly different to the norm. We worked with the Architect to offer a bespoke Cycle Storage Shelter which could cater for the employees as well as visitors.
We also installed Refuse Bin Stores and Recycling Storage Units around the site.
On a building such as this the cladding is always exposed to impact from passing lorries and forklifts therefore to protect it we installed galvanised Armco Barrier around the building as well as Heavy Duty Bollards to each entrance.
