ABOUT OUR BIKE AND GENERAL SHELTERS
A good shelter needs to be a worthwhile investment of capital and one that is going to stand the test of time. Important qualities include:
✔ secure installation
✔ robust weather-resistant materials
✔ anti-vandal and anti-tamper properties
✔ aesthetic appearance
Secure installation is what we are all about. Replicating the installation of perimeter fencing and gating solutions to apply it to secure bike shelter facilities has been an easy process. We can adapt the way we install a shelter according to the requirements of the client. The usual method is to mount securely in a concrete foundation but in circumstances where that might not be possible due to the presence of underground services, we can work out secure surface-mounted solutions.
In the case of a secure bike rack shelter, it is as much about securely fixing the post system that people will attach their bike to as it is the shelter itself.
Robust materials dictate the potential life span of the project, We use weather resistant alloys and galvanised steel that will not deteriorate, as well as infill panels such as strong perspex or glass that are as near to unbreakable as possible. Our aim is that any shelter we install will be around for a long time to come.
Anti-vandal and anti-tamper properties centre around the materials and fittings we use. In general we utilise materials that are easy to clean, hard to break and with fittings and fixings that are difficult to tamper with.
Aesthetic appearance means that the old impression of a shelter as an ugly plain glass box has long gone. With modern perspex and other materials, shelters can take on attractive curved shapes that protect from the weather more efficiently. They can be tinted, coloured and shaded for enhanced appearance as well as protection from the glare of the sun. We can even incorporate company logos, corporate branding and digital messaging systems.
