If you’re looking to install a fence within a Zoo, then chicken wire can be added if necessary to contain smaller animals. Our vertical posts are joined with horizontal rails in a very simple system. We can fit square post and rail or alternatively we are also experts in full round posts and half round rails

Treated pine. This is incredibly versatile to work with and durable. Pine is versatile and durable, and easy to work with. Treated pine is used in a range of outdoor constructions, from decks, and pergolas to retaining walls and cladding. It lasts far longer in any environment where it is exposed to the elements or consistent moisture.

Class 1 timbers are the most durable timber you can buy. Ironbark, tallowwood, grey gym, cypress, and yellow cedar are all part of this classification of timber.

The most common sizes are 2” x 3” or 2” x 4”. Maximum post spacing is 8’ between posts. 2” x 4” x 8’ rail would therefore be used.

One general rule of thumb is to have a horizontal rail for every 24” in height. For example, a 6 ft. high fence, would require three rails.

This is a generic term used to describe a fencing system that uses a solid timber post with horizontal rails fastened between posts. This is a simple, effective, and easily installed style of fencing.

Timber rail fencing can normally be erected using the backfill method. The hole is dug, the post is positioned then the spoil from the hole is backfilled a rammed down to secure the post. The post can be rammed straight into the ground using a pointed fence post.
