Our Sliding Gate Solutions

Sliding gates are the perfect solution for sites with limited space but high traffic flow. Unlike traditional swing gates, which require a large area to open and close, sliding gates operate by moving horizontally along a track, making them ideal for compact spaces or entrances with obstructions. With over 65 years of industry experience, we offer quick installation across the UK, with minimal disruption and cost to your operations. We offer a FREE site survey, where our experts will assess your premises and recommend the most suitable solution tailored to your specific needs. Invest in a proven security solution today and protect what matters most with our sliding gate solutions.

TYPES OF SLIDING GATES

Here are the types of Sliding Gate Solutions we can offer you…

Track Sliding Gates

Tracked gates move within a ground track and are installed across the entrance and run-back area. The gate leaf is fitted with wheels within the track and a Y-shaped base acts as the driver for the sliding mechanism. A single gate leaf can cover a wide entrance, meaning you have full control over vehicles entering and exiting the premises.
There are many benefits to track sliding gates, including easy installation, strong curb appeal, simple to motorise and space-saving.

Cantilever Sliding Gates

These gates are best suited to rough, uneven, or loose surfaces. The extra length of the system acts as a counterbalance, allowing the gate to slide forward and backward while remaining stable.

The gate does not run along a track and therefore has little impedance, making for a very smooth opening and closing operation.

Benefits of Cantilever gates include quick installation, no track across the opening, and lower maintenance.

Telescopic Sliding Gates

An ideal solution for creating the widest possible gap for traffic to pass through, with one section sliding back and the other closing in the process. When the gate is closed, one piece sits slightly further back on a guide rail, which only extends halfway into the opening. During the opening process, half of the gate slides in front of the other, following a longer rail. The advantages of this system include; overcoming slopes/ uneven surfaces, aesthetically pleasing look, maximise passing space for traffic, highly secure and made from durable, long-lasting materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

Depending on the type and the size of sliding gate, they can range anywhere from £500 to £4000.

The key difference is that a cantilever gate is a trackless gate system. Instead of sliding along a track, a cantilever gate is supported by rollers that are tucked behind the fencing and remains suspended when opening and closing.

Telescopic sliding gates or dual sliding gates are sliding gates in 2 sections sliding in the same direction at the same time, they are twice as fast as normal sliding gates and require, just a little over, half the space that a single sliding gate needs to open.

The main difference between the two is that sliding gates slide in and out whilst swinging gates swing open and closed in a wide half-circle. Most used when other gate installations aren’t possible, sliding gates are great if you have limited space and rough ground.

A cantilevered sliding gate or cantilever gate operates by using an extended section of the gate to counterbalance the actual gate which spans the road access. The cantilever gate is suspended and therefore doesn’t need a track below it to run along.

Sliding gates are very reliable and have long trouble-free lifespans. Since sliding gates run on tracks the can be installed with cantilever systems. This makes them more suitable for rough ground and sloping driveways.

Due to their straightforward construction, Swing gates generally cost less than sliding gates. However, this depends on the size, style, and material of the gate in question.

Integrated Fencing the successful contractor, their tender was within budget and we were fully aware of their experience in the fencing industry and their pro-active approach.

Their directors visited the site to attend meetings to help us with the design of the system which was first class.

It did not go unnoticed that you were put in a very difficult predicament by the failings of our ground works contractor but despite this, you and your team stuck at it working late nights and weekends to help us achieve the completion date. It’s very rare to see a Managing Director rolling his sleeves up to help his team out but you did this on numerous occasions in atrocious weather conditions and on weekends and for this we cannot thank you enough.

This leads me on to your site team who worked extremely close with our site team for the duration of the project and despite the extreme weather and ground conditions they simply got on with it. They’re attitude and willingness to complete the job in hand is fantastic, this together with the standard of work produced all makes for a winning team.

I have worked with numerous quality men over the last 30 years, and this has to be up there as one of the best. Please pass on our thanks to your team. Thanks again for your efforts on the project and we wish you every success in the future and hope your business grows. It has been a pleasure working with you on YGGT and we look forward to the prospect of working with you in the near future.
